Montage International, the hotel and resort management company behind the brand, Montage Hotels & Resorts, will open a resort with a hotel and residences in Big Sky, Montana.
Currently under construction, Montage Big Sky will be the first ultra-luxury five-star resort in the entire state. Located at Spanish Peaks Mountain Club, a private ski and golf course community set on more than 3,530-acres of pristine Montana wilderness, Montage Big Sky will offer luxurious guest rooms, suites and turn-key residences with five-star amenities putting it on par with the top ski and golf resort destinations in the country. It is scheduled to open in 2021.

The $400 million resort will feature 150 guest rooms and suites and 39 Residences. Montage Big Sky will offer luxury without being pretentious, explains Christensen. “Part of that is the Montana ethos,” Eric Christensen, Executive Vice President Hospitality at Lone Mountain Land Company, the developer behind the resort. “Nobody is here to impress anyone. Most people are here for the outdoors. It is about being outside and what nature has to offer.”

Montage’s generously-sized 39 residences are being designed with families in mind with flexible layouts that feature two to six bedrooms. Sales have officially launched for the residences that are priced from $5.76 million to $18.1 million. The Montage Rental Program
Montage Big Sky will offer an optional rental program for its homeowners who wish to earn income when they are not using their units. Those wishing to participate in the rental program have the option to purchase a pre-selected, turn-key option or work with the developer to personalize elements of a home ensuring it meets the requirements of Montage’s rental program.
Montage will manage and service a residence while the homeowner is away and provide owners with advantages and benefits of renting their home commensurate with their use. “The program is fully flexible and allows owners to enjoy their home for special times they choose and the other time they recognize those benefits of having Montage rent their home on their behalf,” says Necrason. “They have the peace of mind that when they lock the door and leave Montage is looking after their home.”
