Celebrating Halloween in NYC is ridiculously fun no matter what your age. Throughout the month New Yorkers are going all out for this holiday. From mildly terrifying haunted houses to the not-so-scary, yet completely over-the-top costume parties, to themed food and drink. Need to fuel your spooky shenanigans? Check out this round up of festive—and tasty—offerings perfect for any scare-tolerance available this month only.

Taco Electrico

Halloween Drag Bingo

Oct. 30th, 7pm

Get your fill on tacos and antojitos alongside a hefty dose of Halloween spirit at Taco Electrico! This lively Mexican restaurant will be throwing a Halloween-themed Drag Bingo with special host, Linda Loves Bingo. Better dress up too—the venue is throwing their annual bingo costume contest with prize. Plus, from Halloween-eve through the weekend Taco Electrico will be offering the “spooky glitter lips” cocktail for just $10.

For just a few days indulge in this over the top Halloween creation… the Bloody Devil’s Food Layer Cake with a vanilla mascarpone filling, milk ice cream and a cookie knife!

Bodega Negra x Dia de Los Muertos, Oct. 31 – Nov. 3

Celebrate Day Of The Dead with a new menu by Executive Chef Brad Warner and Pastry Chef Paola Marocchi consisting of traditional Dia de Los Muertos fare. Bodega Negra will be decked out with with life size skeletons, altar-shrines with marigolds and roses, picture frames with photos of late celebrities, candles, sugar skulls & figurines and papel picado, among others. Guests can expect ceviche negro; albondigas; smoked brisket tacos; tamales; calabaza “esquites”; don huevo calavera; and Bodega’s ofrenda.

Get yourself to the Moxy Times Square’s free candy cart in the lobby to get your fill on all the Halloween candy you’re likely not to be trick or treating for come the big day.

Mr. Purple

Temple Of Terror – Oct. 24th – Oct. 31

For a full week leading up to Halloween get ready for a hauntingly good time at Mr. Purple. This trendy rooftop hotspot will transform into a haunted temple and will be serving specialty cocktails. To add to the festivities, DJs will be blasting music all week and guests are encouraged to wear costumes (duh!).

Tipsy Scoop

Oct. 18th - Nov. 2nd

Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya has teamed up with NYC’s Tipsy Scoop, the deliciously unique liquor-infused ice cream shop, to create a Mezcal-infused ice cream. This boozy creation has a chocolate cinnamon ice cream base and is infused with Montelobos Espadin Mezcal Joven and orange bitters. The flavor will be in Tipsy Scoop's NYC barlours beginning Friday, October 18th and will be available through Day of the Dead.
