We're just days away from this year's Austin City Limits music festival. Before you start thinking about what you're going to wear and who you're most excited to see, it's important to figure out your game plan for when you get there.

ACL isn't your average musical experience, there's so much more to it than just the festival itself. For starters, the booming city alone is worth packing your bags for and you're definitely going to want to catch as many late night shows as possible. If you wish you had known about this months in-advance, don't worry. There's no reason to panic because our spot-on list of where to eat, stay, hang out and more will take care of all your ACL needs. Scroll through some of the things you can't pass up as checking off one or two of them from the list will guarantee you'll have the best weekend ever.

Splurge on a true VIP experience.

Before we go any further, make sure you have your wristbands in order and the only way to do that is to know your options. Apart from GA, there's an exclusive package die hard fans need to know about. American Express card members can purchase VIP and Platinum tickets that provide a once-in-a-lifetime viewing experience. From spa treatments to being right on-stage with the artists through the platinum route, you'll be glad you treated yourself despite the hefty price tag.

Stay on schedule with a quick breakfast.

Whether you're craving a cold brew to stay cool in the Texan heat or in the mood for a yummy French pastry, Café 605 is the place to be. Located at Hotel Van Zandt, their talented chefs will also make sure you won't miss any music with their impressive grab-and-go system.

Cheers to the only festival food you need!

For the first time ever, local favorite Hopdoddy Burger Bar will be selling their delicious burgers at the festival. Though you'll need a VIP wristband to try them out as they will only be served at the VIP C3 Guest Lounge, there are locations all over the city beyond Zilker Metropolitan Park. If you can't decide which mouthwatering menu item to choose from, know that a portion of the sales from their Goodnight Burger will give back to the community and go towards the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians — also known as HAAM.

Score a late check-out.

Starting October 1, the Hilton will be offering a late 4PM checkout along with up to $25 hotel credit and 20% off local dining partners. Now you no longer have to rush to leave when the festival ends and you have a way to enjoy more of what the city has to offer. If you haven't booked your accommodations yet, consider taking advantage of this deal.

Or opt to feel right at home.
