The refined rooftop bar is located at Manhattan’s Dream Midtown hotel, and it boasts not only indoor and outdoor seating but also mega mule cocktails for those up for the challenge of finishing one.  Restaurant goers can also dine on numerous bites, including tuna poke chips, flaming mac & cheese balls and wagyu beef sliders. “Atop the Dream Midtown hotel, PHD Terrace is unique in that we put a large emphasis on seasonal pop-up installations for the winter and summer months to provide New Yorkers and travelers a temporary escape from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan: perfect for after-work drinks,” says Yvonne Najor, marketing director of Dream Midtown & Dream Downtown. “Most recently, we transformed the east and west terrace into a coastal region of Positano for our spring/summer launch of Aperitivo Tuesdays—a weekly happy hour series.” Najor adds that the rooftop has also recently added new spritz packages and a 14 inch floral boat installation perfect for those looking for an Instagram-able moment.

The Lookup recently opened on top of the soon-to-be Kixby hotel in Midtown, and it features indoor and outdoor seating across the 2,200-square-foot space. The rooftop is the newest concept from the owners of Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer. Offerings include a whisky smash with boozy sorbet, rosé infused Meyer lemon shrimp cocktail and the childhood classic dessert Dippin’ Dots. “The idea of The Lookup, Manhattan’s newest rooftop property for summer 2019, is to provide guests with a dynamic and comfortable experience, stemming from the hospitality of our team that we handpicked to be on the ground,” says Chris Barish, owner of The Lookup. “The Lookup is the most recent concept from my wife Julie Mulligan and I, and we joined forces with Aristotle Hatzigeorgiou to build a special experience that provides Manhattanites and travelers a destination to be carefree and ‘look up’ from their phones and be in the moment.”
