Former two-division UFC champion Georges St-Pierre could be moving to the WWE. If he does, don't expect the Canadian MMA legend to make a career of it.

"I was at an ESPN event in the United States, the awards ceremony, and I got approached by the WWE," St-Pierre said in an interview with Jean-Charles Lajoie on TVA Sports. "I had just retired, and, it's a form of competition, but of course, it's also scripted, so I don't know if I'd be willing to relive that. Perhaps for a special event, so I could taste it. But I don't know if I'd want to sign a contract and do it every week and making it a living. Maybe for a special appearance."

"Perhaps we will get back to them on that, I don't know, but for the moment, there are no discussions at all. They wanted to contact my agents, I gave them their number, but I don't want to switch to wrestling full-time."

The question of St-Pierre joining the WWE was raised last July when he appeared at the ESPYS award ceremony at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. St-Pierre was nominated for Best Fighter. The award went to boxer Terrence Crawford.

St-Pierre returned to the UFC in 2017. His November bout against Michael Bisping was his first fight since November 2013 when he defeated Johny Hendricks by split decision at UFC 167. The win over Hendricks was St-Pierre's ninth consecutive defense of the UFC welterweight title. After the fight, St-Pierre said he was going to step away from the sport for a while. In December 2013 St-Pierre vacated the welterweight crown. No UFC welterweight has more title defenses than St-Pierre.

St-Pierre's fight with Bisping was for Bisping's middleweight belt. St-Pierre won that contest by technical submission in the third round. He surrendered the title in December due to health concerns.

There had been talk of St-Pierre meeting UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, but that fight did not come to fruition. In February, St-Pierre announced his retirement from MMA.
