Wentworth Health Partners welcomes certified nurse midwives

DOVER — Wentworth Health Partners and Wentworth-Douglass Hospital are pleased to welcome certified nurse midwives Elizabeth D. Krainchich and Jacqueline Peterson to the medical staff. Elizabeth Krainchich, CNM joins Wentworth Health Partners Dover Women’s Health while Jacqueline Peterson, CNM joins Wentworth Health Partners OBGYN & Infertility.

Certified Nurse Midwives have master’s degrees in nursing and specialized midwifery training and licensing. They can prescribe medications, order tests, help women through labor, deliver babies, and assist with C-sections when necessary. Certified nurse midwives work closely with physicians and maternal-fetal medicine specialists to help women and families experience the pregnancy and birth they envision.

Elizabeth Krainchich received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing followed by her Master of Nursing in Nurse Midwifery at Oregon Health & Sciences University in Portland, Ore. After graduation, Elizabeth spent time at Legacy Medical Group in Silverton, Ore., providing comprehensive midwifery care to women. Jacqueline Peterson earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing focused on nurse practitioner studies at Simmons College in Boston. After working as a registered nurse in labor & delivery and a pain management nurse practitioner, Jacqueline pursued her Master of Science in Nursing focused on nurse midwifery at Frontier Nursing University.
