ROCHESTER — City police arrested Christian Dawley, 35, of Dover, Tuesday on a felony charge for allegedly vandalizing multiple downtown properties.

The criminal mischief charge stems from Dawley spray painting “graffiti-type vandalism” on approximately a dozen various businesses, buildings and other property in the South Main, North Main and Hanson street areas on April 30, according to Capt. Todd Pinkham of the Rochester Police Department.

Pinkham said the vandalism resulted in more than $2,000 in damages and repairs.

Dawley, who is currently being held at Rockingham County jail on unrelated charges, police said, is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday, June 3 at 11 a.m. via video at Strafford County Superior Court.

Rochester police say multiple downtown areas were vandalized April 30.
