The Missouri governor is boosting the state budget to get ready for medical marijuana to take effect.

Republican Mike Parson approved changes to the 2019 spending plan, allotting more than three million dollars for the medical marijuana program.

Voters approved amendment two making the change last November.

Applications to apply for a patient I.D. will be released on June 4th and accepted July 4th.

Those interested in opening a medical marijuana facility can apply to the state starting in August.
