LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A 63-year-old man has been reported shot in the ankle when a barrage of bullets was fired at his home.

The Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) says it happened in the 9100 block of W. 35th St. around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday.

The victim was hit as he sat in the living room, according to a police report. A woman who was also there when it happened was not injured.

Police say units were called to the home while driving to a report of shots fired in the Labette Manor area.

Officers applied a tourniquet to the man’s leg before an ambulance arrived to take him to the hospital. There’s no further word on his condition.

The LRPD report noted several gunshots to the outside of the house and to two vehicles parked in the driveway.
