LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The City of Little Rock says constriction is wrapping up on new homes that will help boost economic development.

These three bedroom, two bath homes are being built on Charles Bussey thanks to federal dollars.

The city says it will help strengthen the community. The homes for low-income residents come with stainless steel appliances and washers and dryers.

The city says this is an important step in building neighborhoods.

“Home ownership is very, very important for the City of Little Rock. It creates a tax base, economic development, community development in these areas,” says Kevin Howard.

The homes are just under $130,000. The city says federal funding allows them to help pay for some of the costs when residents purchase the home.
