WYOMING, MIch. — Police are investigating a shooting that left two people injured Friday afternoon.

It happened around 2 p.m. in the 3000 block of Waterchase Way in Wyoming. Police say the shooting happened outside of the apartment. It is unclear if the victims or suspect lived at the complex or have any connection to it.

Police say they believe this is not a random incident. There are no suspects in custody, but they don't believe there's any public danger.

Neighbors in the area say the apartment complex is typically quiet and calm. In the 5 years of living here, one neighbor said she has never witnessed anything like this happen before.

"I hope that they get those guys, those bad guys, and give us our peace that we have in this neighborhood," said Ariel Casanova. "This is a good neighborhood, and we don't want these crazy people shooting around, it is just quite disturbing."

Neighbors also saw K-9 units searching the area, including any nearby dumpsters. Wyoming PD told FOX 17 the department had to bring in special mapping equipment due to the amount of buildings and garages in the area. At this point, police have spent the large portion of the afternoonn investigating, collecting evidence and taking photos of the crime scene.

One of the victims is in critical condition and the other one is in stable condition.

Police have not arrested anyone in the case and are uncertain if one or more suspects are involved. At this time, police ask everyone in the area to keep an eye out for a silver minivan with one or more broken windows.
