LANSING, Mich. — During the Summer of 2020, Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center and the City of Lansing will partner to bring temporary, site-specific artwork to 19 sites along 3.5 miles of the Lansing River Trail from REO Town to Old Town and through downtown Lansing. ARTpath is a competitive exhibition; special thanks to our title sponsor: Rathbun Agency/Auto-Owners and 2020 jurors: Maureen Bergquist Gray, Brian Whitfield and Ivan Iler.

Lansing Mayor Andy Schor stated “Lansing’s time is now, and we are excited that our increasingly vibrant riverfront offers opportunities for residents and visitors to engage in the arts. People are spending more time on the river trail as a way to get out of the house and this project will add more exciting visuals for walkers, runners and bikers alike. Riverfront development and public art are key pieces of growing Lansing. ARTpath continues a rich tradition of public art programming by Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center, and I am pleased to partner to make Lansing an inspiring place for everyone.”

Tour the trail and practice social distancing on foot, bike or kayak! Learn more about the participating artists here [lansingartgallery.org].
