Elderly man killed in hit-and-run on Detroit's west side

A 69-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run Sunday afternoon on Detroit's west side.
Detroit police said that the man, whose identity has not been released, was crossing the intersection of Cecil and Michigan shortly after 3 p.m. when he was struck by a Ford pickup that kept going.
A witness told police that the driver of the pickup continued heading south on Cecil Avenue.

The victim was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital.
