Serena Williams to headline 2019 Forbes Under 30 Summit  in Detroit

Serena Williams is known as one of the top tennis players in the world, but she's also made a name for herself as a savvy investor, focusing on companies founded by women and minorities.

Williams will bring her business philosophy to Detroit this fall as one of the top speakers for the 2019 Forbes Under 30 Summit, set for Oct. 27-30 at Masonic Temple.

According to Ashley Waters, Forbes spokesperson, Williams will be sharing her business investment journey as a female athlete. 

"We will feature a one-on-one conversation with Serena that will touch on topics such as Serena Ventures," and her business investment journey as a female athlete, said  said Forbes spokesperson Ashley Waters.

Other speakers scheduled to appear include Steve Case, co-founder of AOL; Heidi Zak, co-CEO of ThirdLove;  actor and chef Antoni Porowski; Jenny Campbell, chief marketing officer of Tinder; Anthony Casalena, CEO of Squarespace and John Krafcik, CEO of Waymo. 

Many aspiring entrepreneurs flock to the summit to connect, learn and network on business ventures. The annual conference also honors young influencers, leaders and entrepreneurs under 30. 

During the three-day national conference, attendees can catch presentations, live demos, and panels with over 200 speakers. 

This year's summit will kick off with performances from the Chainsmokers, 21 Savage and Normani for their signature music festival.
