A 33-year-old woman was injured at the hands of a hit-and-run driver. Now Detroit police are searching for her assailant.
On June 7, at around 9:30 p.m., the woman was talking to the driver of a Chevrolet truck in downtown Detroit. Another woman, driving a gray Corvette at a high rate of speed reportedly hit the Chevy, striking the woman, and fled, police said. The Corvette went north on Park Ave. and then headed westbound on Elizabeth Street.
The suspect, described as a black female, was wearing gray shorts, a gray top, white shoes and a black purse. The gray Corvette she was driving reportedly had tinted windows, a temporay license plate in the rear window and a broken driver's side rear-view mirror.
If anyone recognizes this suspect, or knows of her whereabouts, they are asked to please contact Detroit Police Department’s 3rd Precinct at 313-596-1340, or CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
