A strong Spartan Sunday rolled into another Michigan State football commitment Monday.

Wide receiver Ricky White from Marietta, Georgia, announced via Twitter that he plans to head to East Lansing, the Spartans’ 12th commitment for 2020 and their fourth in two days.

MSU picked up commitments from three Ohio defensive players on Sunday – cornerback Angelo Grose from Mansfield; defensive end Chris Mayfield from Hilliard; and linebacker Devin Hightower from Akron.

Like those three, White is a 3-star recruit according to 247Sports.com. The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder from Wheeler High in Marietta is rated the 162nd wide receiver prospect and No. 985 overall nationally for 2020. He chose MSU over offers from Georgia Tech, Louisville, Syracuse and Pittsburgh among others.

White had 55 receptions for 1,006 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2018 according to the Marietta Daily Journal. He said his visit to MSU was “one extraordinary weekend.”

White is the second wide receiver for the Spartans’ class, joining Ian Stewart from Rockford. MSU has added eight recruits since June 14.
