BHOPAL: Bhopal police arrested 12 women and 14 men from two spa centres in in Shyamla hills and Misrod areas on Sunday in connection with an alleged sex racket.
Police claimed that arrested girls are from Thailand, north eastern parts of India and Bhopal while all the men are from Bhopal.
Spa centre employed women in the age group of 25 to 30 years for massage. The first raid was carried out at Ali spa and a family hair salon near Angithi square at around 08 pm.
Police said that over 8 men and 6 women were found involved in the flesh trade. The arrested men are identified as Zuiad Khan, Suresh Kumar, Kapil Ramani, Rajesh Agrawal, Hemant Nagiya, Suneel Kushwaha, Osama Khan and Umar Ali.
The other raid was carried out in a Spa center around the same time in Misrod area. Police sent in a cop as a decoy to the Bangkok Spa at Hoshangabad road. He then signaled his team comprising both men and women cops.
Police claimed that six women and six men were found involved in the sexual activities inside the spa during the raid. They were all held and then brought to Misrod police station.
