BHOPAL: It seems the prisoners who escaped from the Neemuch jail were sworn by an old Hindi saying, ‘if you want to break a jail, take the help of warder’. In the primary probe, the jail department has found that the two jail warders played a crucial role in helping the four inmates to escape from Neemuch jail on early hours of Sunday.
Inside their cell, the prisoners were in possession of a mobile phone which they used it to communicate with an outsider to execute their jailbreak plan.
Sources claim that the two warders Brijendra Dhakad and Ishwar Chand are the mole who helped the four to flee from the jail. DG Jail Sanjay Choudhary informed that ADG jail Sudhir Sahi is conducting the investigations, the role of jail warders is been examined minutely and the culprit will not be spared.
The warders had taken permission from the jailer to conduct search at ward of the four. They dint find any objectionable article in their cell. However after the jail break, when the police conducted a thorough search, they found a bunch of blades, which were used to cut the window grill.
The two warders were on duty at the ward from 4-6 am. The four inmates were well equipped with mobile to talk to outsiders, blade to cut the window grill, and even opium dose to make other cell inmates go in deep slumber as they execute their jailbreak plan.
Other prisoners were in too deep sleep to have realised what conspired in their cell. The inmates were in possession of a mobile to remain in contact with the outsider who helped him in their escape.
The police will look into the call details and zero in on people linked to it. The escapees through the mobile were exchanging instruction about scaling the wall.
The mastermind, Vinod Dangi, a local drug peddler has fallen into police net. Dangi, who was out on parole since June 17, had conspired with the inmates and others to help four to flee. He had visited the jail on June 20. 24-hours before the prison break.
