Boaz search leads to four arrests

A search at a Boaz motel on Saturday resulted in four felony drug arrests, according to Boaz police.

The Marshall County Drug Task Force and the Boaz, Albertville, Guntersville and Arab police departments executed a search warrant at the Key West Inn that led to the arrests and the seizure of 65 grams of methamphetatmine, about 3.2 grams of heroin and three firearms.

Demarcus Mostella, 20, of Gadsden; Xathan Cook, 41, of Attalla; Alexis Kitchens, 18, of Sardis City; and Krystal Knebel, 32, of Attalla, were all charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of heroin with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cook also was charged with possession of an altered firearm.
