Three new members were recently appointed to the Snead State Community College Foundation to fill vacancies on the board of directors.

Mary Wells Malone of Boaz, Shane R. Wilks of Albertville and Claudette DeMuth of Guntersville were added to the board of eight community members and five ex-officio members representing the college.

“We’re honored to have Mrs. Malone, Mrs. DeMuth and Mr. Wilks to join the board.

They are all active in the community and bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to

the Foundation,” said Snead State President Dr. Robert Exley in a press release.

Dr. Exley added that he believes the new members will play a critical role in assisting the college with moving forward and continuing to serve students.

The Foundation Board was founded in 1989 and is made up of citizens of the College community. The Board aims to raise and manage private resources to support the mission and strategic goals of Snead State.

Locally, she has served on the board of Lake Guntersville Chamber of Commerce, Marshall County Leadership Challenge Alumni Association, the Guntersville City School Board and others.
