Easter is on the horizon and no doubt your children are already counting down the days to when they can tuck into too much chocolate.

Family attractions across Surrey will be holding fun Easter egg hunts for all the family to enjoy.

Located at some of the area's top beauty spots including Painshill Park in Cobham and Polesden Lacey in Bookham , the annual tradition for many can tie in with a lovely countryside walk.

The National Trust has teamed up with Cadbury's ready for the Easter school holidays.

If you're looking for things to do over the long spring weekend and ideas to entertain the kids, discover and explore the great outdoors at one of the following chocolate Easter egg hunts.

1. Painshill Park, Cobham

Use your detective skills to crack each clue and follow a treasure hunt around the Painshill landscape.

Solve each riddle to complete the treasure hunt and reveal where the Easter bunny has hidden all the chocolate.

2. Gatton Park, Reigate
