A car was set alight in the early hours of yesterday morning in a targeted attack in Motherwell.

The blue Audi A3 was set on fire at around 2.45am (Saturday, September 14) and police say the incident was deliberate.

The vehicle was in the Wood Crescent area.

No one was injured and enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "A blue Audi A3 was set on fire at around 2:45am in what is believed to be a targeted attack and we are urging anyone with information to contact us.

"No one was injured as a result of this incident and our enquiries are ongoing."
