If you've ever done a turn in the hospitality trade, you'll know how important tips can be.

And that's why, the incredible efforts of these kind-hearted Glasgow restaurant staff need to be dished up for everyone to see.

For one whole weekend at the end of last month, BRGR staff decided to pool and save up any cash left by customers, to donate to the Beatson Cancer Charity.

Compelled to act after someone close to the team was diagnosed with the deadly disease, workers at all four Scottish venues (three here and one in Edinburgh) got involved.

Director Chris Lessani said: "One of the stores decided to save their tips for the Beatson and they came and asked me if it would be okay, and of course I said yes.

"Then staff at the other three restaurants got involved and it kind of snowballed from there."

BRGR owners were so pleased, in fact, that they agreed to match the fundraisers' total, meaning they gave the vital cancer charity an even bigger financial boost of £2,040.

Chris added: "I had just lost a friend to cancer the week before so this meant a lot.

"It's an amazing thing to do and we are really please with how much they raised."

Well done those people!
