Police launch probe after the grim discovery this afternoon

A man has been found dead in a hotel in Glasgow's city centre .

Police were called to the Jury's Inn on Jamaica Street at around 2pm after the body was discovered in a room.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Police were called at 2pm to reports the body of a man had been found in a hotel room.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
