A man was rushed to hospital after being found with serious injuries in a car park in Glasgow city centre.

Police were called to the car park on Midland Street early this morning (Friday) after the 50-year-old was discovered seriously injured in a stairwell. He was then taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Police have launched an investigation following the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told Glasgow Live: "Police were called to a car park on Midland Street, Glasgow, around 7.15am on Friday 17 January 2020, after a 50-year-old man was found in a stairwell with serious injuries. The man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 0465 of 17 January."
