A man was rushed to hospital after being injured in Govan, police have confirmed.

Emergency services were called to Govan's Crossloan Road, in the south of Glasgow, and the man was subsequently taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Meanwhile, local residents reported a bottle attack in the area on Sunday afternoon, commenting on social media.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed to Glasgow Live: "Around 2.30pm yesterday (Sunday), police received a report of a man being injured on Crossloan Road.

"Emergency services attended a man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and enquiries are ongoing at this stage."
