A teenager was attacked after leaving an event at a Hardgate function suite in the early hours of this morning.

The 17-year-old was assaulted at around 1am (Saturday, September 14) as he made his way from Hardgate House ( also known as Cameron House) towards Glasgow Road.

A small, white car stopped and two or three men got out, grabbed the boy and began kicking and punching him.

The men then got back into the car and made off in the direction of Bearsden and Drumchapel.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, suffering from head and facial injuries, however he left prior to treatment.

Detective Constable Iain Allison, at Clydebank CID, said: "Our enquiries have revealed that at the time this incident occurred there was a large group of people in the area who had also come from the function at the hotel.

"I urge these people to contact police immediately as they may have information that could help identify the persons responsible for this assault.”
