A new ramen dish dubbed the "hottest in Glasgow" has dozens of locals hot under the collar.

Ramen Dayo introduced the spicy Akuma Ramen (also known as Devil Ramen) to their specials menu around five weeks ago and folks have been raving about it since.

Staff at the Queen Street restaurant say the Japanese dish has been so incredibly popular that they have decided to keep it on the menu for an extended period of time.

The dish is a spicy miso-based pork ramen with a whopping four different types of chilli, pork belly, spring onions and beansprouts.

Workers at Ramen Dayo claim the tongue-tingling dish is the hottest Glasgow has ever seen.

Scott McLaughlin, of Ramen Dayo said: "We put a ramen on as a special and we have had to keep it on as its popularity has gone through the roof.

"The Akuma Ramen, or Devil Ramen as it is also known, is a spicy miso-based pork ramen with four different types of chilli, pork belly, spring onions and beansprouts.

"We at Ramen Dayo reckon the double-spiced version of this dish is the hottest ramen in Glasgow by a mile."
