If you're new to the amazing TV work of Nick Knowles and his talented DIY SOS: The Big Build crew, there's another welcome chance to see one of their earlier projects on BBC One tonight

An episode from 2014 is being shown at 8pm that features a hospital worker who had a serious motorcycle accident.

Jason Sulong was left visually impaired, paralysed down one side and with limited speech.

At the time the episode was filmed, he can't get up the stairs in his home in Orpington, in the London borough of Bromley, so is trapped downstairs with no toilet or washing facilities.

Jason's wife Effie is a cardiac nurse and is struggling to look after Jason and their two kids whilst also being the main breadwinner.

Nick Knowles and the DIY SOS team call on the local community to help Effie and give Jason back his dignity. They have just nine days to complete the build.

What about new episodes?

If you are already up-to-date with all the previous episodes, don't worry, new ones are on the way.

And a Gloucestershire-based plumbing service is set to feature on the next series.

The new batch of shows, airing later this year, will see the team travel to Cornwall to help a family in Carbis Bay and they sourced plumbers from Gloucestershire.

Drain Doctors, who have locations all across the county including Cheltenham , Gloucester and Tewkesbury , are  the UK’s largest emergency plumbing and drainage maintenance company.

They were called in to assist the plumbing on a newly adapted home.

People in Gloucestershire are well used to the amazing work of DIY SOS and Nick is a familiar face around the county.

Nick and designer Laurence Llewelyn Bowen have filmed episodes of the prime-time BBC hit in and around the county that have moved the nation to tears.

Among the people who have been helped out in and around Gloucestershire are disabled athlete Scott Jones from Cheltenham seriously ill Antonia Payne-Cheney from Eckington, near Tewkesbury and paralysed dad Ben Wernham from Avening, near Stroud .

And sure, Nick has had a bit of a run-in with us after we reported on his epic 40-tweet rant about being told about a long wait for a sandwich at a Cheltenham cafe.

We also had a bit of fun with his claim that King Arthur's court of Camelot was in Cirencester and supported him through I'm A Celebrity.... Get Me Out of Here.

While a visit to Gloucester prompted another twitter eruption over the inability to pass on car park tickets with spare time on to other people.

And we most recently saw Nick enjoying a rainy day at the Cheltenham Festival.

He was there on the first day of the Festival and was one of a number of celebrities to enjoy the racing.
