A man in his forties has been found dead in his Matson home in Gloucester.

Reports were made of a heavy police and ambulance presence yesterday evening (Sunday May 17) at approximately 9.30pm.

It was reported that there were approximately five to six police cars in the surrounding area of Norbury Avenue as well as Whiteway Road, and that they were joined by three ambulances and a paramedic's car.

Gloucestershire Constabulary said they were called to Whiteway Road in the area following reports of a man being found dead inside a property there.

Police say the death is being treated as non-suspicious and that officers are currently preparing a report for the coroner.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Constabulary said: "Emergency services attended an address in Whiteways Road, Matson on Sunday night (17 May) following a report of a man being found deceased inside the property.


"The death of the man, who was in his forties, is being treated as non-suspicious at this time and officers are preparing a report for the coroner."

South Western Ambulance Foundation Trust have been approached for comment.
