There have been 48 new cases of Coronavirus in Gloucestershire in the last 17 days, and the majority of them have been in Gloucester.

Local data, at a district level, was released by the Government on May 7, showing how each of our county’s six districts, Cheltenham, the Cotswolds, the Forest of Dean, Gloucester, Stroud, and Tewkesbury, have been affected.

At this point, there had been 1,315 cases of Covid-19 in the county, and as of Sunday, May 24, there had been 1,363 cases in Gloucestershire.

It means there have been 48 new cases of the virus in the county in just over two weeks, an average of 2.82 new cases each day.

Gloucester has seen the most new cases, with 20.

There have been five new cases in Cheltenham, seven in the Cotswolds, and seven in the Forest of Dean.

Stroud has seen a further four cases, and Tewkesbury had had five new cases.
