About 20 vehicles were damaged when “mindless” vandals slashed tyres in crime spree across Gloucester suburb over the weekend.

More than a dozen reports of vehicle damage in Longlevens have been reported to Gloucestershire Constabulary.

About 20 cars in Paygrove Lane, Richmond Gardens, Park Avenue, Cheltenham Road and Brooklands Park all had tyres slashed between Friday night and Saturday (15 and 16 March).

One incident is believed to have happened at about 5.20am on Saturday morning.

Gloucestershire Live reported that six cars have their tyres slashed in incidents over the weekend , with traces of blood left on one car.

Now officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen what happened, or who has CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.

PC Andy Plant of Gloucestershire Constabulary said: "This is mindless criminal damage which has caused inconvenience and financial loss to a lot of people and we are very keen to trace the offenders and make them take responsibility for their actions.

"We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area and saw any suspicious activity, or has CCTV or dashcam which may have recorded any of the offences being committed.
