There has been one new death linked to coronavirus recorded in Gloucestershire in the last 24 hours, according to figures released by the NHS today (May 25).

Across the UK, there are now 265,227 lab-confirmed cases of Covid-19 and 37,048 people have passed away after testing positive.

This represents a rise of 2,004 and 134 over a 24-hour period.

In Gloucestershire, there are now 1,368 cases of coronavirus - up two since yesterday - with the majority - 400 - in Gloucester.

There are 320 in Cheltenham and another 182 in Tewkesbury.

The death toll remains at 221 following no new reported deaths overnight.

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust has now reported 34 deaths and Gloucestershire NHS Foundation Trust has 187 deaths recorded.

  • Gloucester - 400
  • Cheltenham - 320
  • Stroud - 197
  • Tewkesbury - 182
  • Cotswolds - 155
  • Forest of Dean - 114

Across the border in Worcestershire there have been 1,380 cases, in Wiltshire 522, Warwickshire 1,437 and Herefordshire 437 cases.

There have been 399 cases recorded in South Gloucestershire in total.
