Gloucester Paranormal Investigation Services had quite a year in 2018.

They looked at hundreds of hours of footage and carried out many investigations while exploring the paranormal.

Now they want to share their most memorable spooky footage.

They are in their third year as G.P.I.S and it all started when they decided to try and capture on camera the much talked about ghost lady in Matson, said to be spotted in St Catherine's church yard

G.P.I.S lead investigator Ed Francis said: “We have visited some awesome places and the Dean Heritage Centre was amazing.

“We have ventured into other things now by holding talks and being part of haunted dinner investigations.

“There is a lot coming up for us this year. We are booking up fast and we are really looking forward to other events that we have been invited to attend later this year.”

Over the year the team have captured pictures of an apparition at The Fleece in Gloucester, light anomalies at The Royal William in Cranham and caught an Irish voice saying ‘no problem during a spirit box session at the Antiques Centre on Westgate Street.

1. Stroud Subscription Rooms

Voice phenomena.

Female says: “I hurt myself.”

The team were rather taken back when they were asked by the organisers of the Mind, Body and Spirit show to get kitted up and see what paranormal they could find.

2. Dean Heritage Centre

Voice phenomena. Female voice in the woods.

When Paul and Ed listened back to their electronic voice phenomena (EVP) recorders, they discovered that they had caught the eerie voice of a women when they had been out in the woods of the Dean Heritage Centre.

Spirit box investigation.

A male Irish voice comes through during the investigation and says: 'no problem'.

5. Teagues Bar

REM activity on request.

They were there to try and see if the spirit of Cedric would communicate with them on the radio electromagnicity (REM) device. They both said that they did not expect him to ‘be so chatty’.

6. The Fleece Hotel

7. Dick Whittinton pub

Ball on cups moves on request.

Previous investigations and stories have flagged up the spirit of a child called Emily that walks about in the Black Cat function room of the Gloucester pub. They set up and experiment with ping pong balls on plastic cups to see if she would move them during the investigation.

Controversial comments have been made on this topic. The team say that it can be heard clearly that the ghost in the cell in telling Paul to f*@! Off.

The team are looking forward to investigations at the Angel Hotel in Coleford. They have already been to the venue and carried out a lively investigation and they will be return to the infamously haunted venue again in the next couple of months.

G.P.I.S lead investigator Paul Cowmeadow said: “We have looked through over a thousand hours of footage and there is still a back log of footage to view.

“We have visited over 30 locations and some of them multiple times. We are analysing all the time and there is still a lot to go through.”
