Former Cheltenham Town striker Jake Lee has left Weston-super-Mare to join Yate Town.

The 27-year-old, who can also operate in defence, made his debut for the Robins in League One during Martin Allen's reign as manager a decade ago.

Lee made two Football League starts and two substitute appearances for Cheltenham, who he had joined from Cirencester-based amateur club Beeches as a 16-year-old.

Since leaving Whaddon Road in 2011 he has played for Bishop's Cleeve and Shortwood United, joining Weston in January 2017.

Yate, managed by Paul Britton, were promoted to Southern League Premier Division South via the play-offs last season, beating Cinderford Town in the final at Lodge Road.
