Nick Grimes has signed for Southern League Premier Division South club Tiverton Town.
The 21-year-old former Slimbridge defender joined Truro City in October last year after an impressive spell of just over a year with Cinderford Town.
The Hartpury University student scored on his debut for the National League South club against Dartford and made a big impression after stepping up two levels.
But ahead of the final year of his studies he decided the travelling to Cornwall was too much.
Grimes is an Exeter City youth product and his elder brother Matt, a midfielder, is at Championship club Swansea City.
