Gloucester have confirmed they have signed a new long-term partnership with retail provider Elite Pro Sports.

It comes after some cryptic posts on Twitter with the phrases ‘Something new is on the horizon’ and ‘Never inhibit athletic performance’ using the hashtag #CreateNewHistory

A symbol on one of the images showing seats at Kingsholm showed the logo of Oxen Sports, which is part of the Elite Pro Sports group.

They were previously known as XBlades and have produced the clothing and technical apparel for Gloucester Rugby since the 2015/16 season.

The new deal will see them continue to operate all retail outlets for Gloucester Rugby as well as leading on technical ranges for both players and supporters.

As part of the deal, a new technical kit supplier will also be announced in the coming days which will see the team run out in a new brand kit for the 2019/20 season.

Since partnering with the club, Elite Pro Sports have continued to help make Gloucester merchandise more accessible to the fanbase which in turn has seen retail sales top £1 million in each of the last three years.

In recent years, Elite Pro Sports and Gloucester Rugby have made significant investment to make merchandise more accessible than ever before by adding numerous retail outlets to the club store based at Kingsholm.

The club said in a statement that “more innovative ways to purchase Gloucester merchandise are set to follow in 2019/20 with some exciting plans already in place to make game day purchases more accessible for Gloucester Rugby supporters.”
