Henry Trinder will celebrate his testimonial year at Gloucester in the 2019-20 season.

The 30-year-old centre has been at the club for his entire career, making his debut against Sale in March 2008.

Trinder has been one of the most talented players to come through the academy and is widely considered unfortunate not to have won a senior cap for England having had bad luck with injuries.

The former Cirencester youth player has made 162 appearances for the Cherry and Whites, scoring 45 tries.

Looking ahead to what is being billed as ‘Trindermonial’, he said on Twitter: “Very exciting year ahead on and off the pitch! Can’t wait to get it going.”

A Twitter page for Trindermonial has been set up and details of the events to be held throughout the season, including a testimonial fixture, are yet to be announced.
