Earlier this year, we revealed that Hotel Chocolat is heading to Gloucester Quays - and now they've submitted a licensing application to sell alcohol.

The shop, which will be located in the old Cadbury store unit in the Quays, is set to open in October this year.

This is what the shop in Gloucester Quays could look like

The application would allow the shop to sell alcohol everyday from 9am - 9.30pm.

It is likely this is for the alcohol gifts that the shop sell including chocolate gin, salted caramel vodka liqueur and Prosecco among other things.

Peter Harris, co-founder of Hotel Chocolat, said: "We are delighted to be bringing Hotel Chocolat to Gloucester Quays.

"We're on a mission to make as many people happy as we can through good quality chocolate - made with more cocoa, less sugar.

"This latest addition forms part of our ever-growing portfolio across the UK, Channel Islands, Europe, Hong Kong, Japan and the US."
