Aizawl rope in Mizoram skipper Lalrinchhana Tochhawng and Isak Vanlalruatfela

Aizawl FC had a disappointing I-League season as they finished fifth in the league table after clinching championship in 2016/17 season. But they are trying to build a competitive squad for the upcoming season within their limited financial resources.

They have roped in experienced defender Lalrinchhana Tochhawng who is the current skipper of the Mizoram state football team. Tochhawng has plied his trade in various clubs across the country and is a regular face in the Mizoram Premier League (MPL).

The 23-year old defender made his debut in I-league back in 2013 while playing for Mumbai FC.

The 2016/17 I-League champions have also managed to get hold of Isak Vanlalruatfela, who played for Bengaluru FC's under-18 team in the recently concluded AIFF Under-18 Youth League. The young midfielder will get his first taste of top-flight football at the national level in the upcoming season where he would look to continue his impressive performances.

Isak has also played in the last NECS Cup for ‘Bawngkawn LC’.
