Kensington Palace has treated royal fans to a new photo of the Duchess of Cambridge looking stunning in a summery dress to celebrate an occasion that holds special significance to Kate: World Photography Day.
The sweet photo of the Duchess was taken on 25 June, as Kate joined a photography workshop for Action for Children at Warren Park in Kingston.
The Duchess attended the Royal Photographic Society event, as part of her new role as the organisation's royal patron.
In the new snap, Kate is pictured smiling happily alongside nine-year-old Josh Evans, one of the children she met at the event back in June.
The accompanying Instagram caption reads: "Today (19 August) is #WorldPhotographyDay when we celebrate the art, craft, science and history of photography.

"Photography can provide a universal language for anyone to express themselves and release their thoughts and feelings."
Highlighting Kate's passion for photography, the post continues: "The Duchess has a longstanding interest in photography, and her patronage will further highlight the beneficial impact that art and creativity can have on emotional wellbeing, particularly for children and young people."

For the event earlier this summer, the Duchess chose a summery midi dress in a delicate feather print by the British brand Ridley London.
The Virginia Midi Dress – an elegant silk and chiffon piece with a flattering V-neck and floaty sleeves– is still available to pre-order on the brand's website for £449.

Kate completed her outfit with a pair of Castañer espadrille wedges, which she also wore in July with a green printed Sandro dress for the re-opening of her Back to Nature garden at Hampton Court Palace.
