POWERLIFTING: Lake View boys and girls finish fifth

The Lake View High School girls and boys powerlifting teams both placed fifth in the team standings Saturday at the Reagan County Invitation Meet in Big Lake.

Performing well for the Maidens were: Siriah Rodriguez (first), Julianna Valdez (sixth),  Alicia Farr (eighth), Aryia Morales (ninth), Sierra Molina (eighth), Jaqui Ortiz (seventh), Lulu Jimenez (19th), Yolo Ramirez (second), Taylor Savoie (eighth), Riley Smith (fifth) and Kaylyn Hayes (third).

The Chiefs' results included: Miguel Arroyo (first), Modesto Resendez (15th), Mykel Sevier (sixth), Carter Christensen (sixth), Logan Sanders (fifth), Brandon McLester (sixth), Xosue Duran (second), Ethan Sanchez (third) and Antonio Ronquillo (sixth).
