CLARK, S.D. — A Fargo woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash in South Dakota on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol reported the crash happened at 7:24 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. Highway 212 about 2 miles south of Clark when a 29-year-old woman was driving a Ford Explorer west on the highway and crossed the center line, colliding head-on with a Ford F-350 pickup driven by a 47-year-old man.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the 47-year-old male was taken to Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown with minor injuries, according to a news release.
An online obituary identifies the victim as Brittany Ann Monson, 29, of Fargo.
The patrol's release says both drivers were wearing seat belts. Clark is about 34 miles west of Watertown.
