Jammu Srinagar National Highway remained blocked due to landslides and shooting stones on Wednesday morning.
Official sources said that incessant rains that lashed thearea during the night triggered land and mudslides at Maroog Battary ChasmaSeri and other places on the highway besides rolling stones at Panthyal. This hampered the movement of vehiculartraffic on the highway.
Authorities pressed their men and machinery to clear thelandslides.
Traffic was restored on Wednesday 11 am.
There was jam on the highway from both sides after it wasthrown open for the traffic.
Traffic police cops had difficult time at various places torestore the order.
