The University of Providence sent the Tribune a short statement Tuesday following the connection of wrestling coach Caleb Schaeffer to a human trafficking case in Great Falls.

"We do not have information beyond what was reported in the media," the statement read. "We understand that the actions of this individual are related to conduct outside of the workplace, and do not involve the University or its students. We take this issue very seriously. The employee has been placed on administrative leave and we will fully support law enforcement agencies as they investigate this matter."

Schaeffer's name was included in court documents for the arrest of Brandon Cameron Sanders, who faces human trafficking, aggravated prostitution and other charges.

In the affidavit, Schaeffer is identified as one of the men who visited the motel room of a woman for the purpose of prostitution.

As of Monday, Schaeffer had not been charged in connection to the case.
