WINDSOR — This Monday, the town of Windsor is launching a $75,000 Economic Development Mini-Marketing Grant Program for local businesses affected by COVID-19.

Through the program, grants up to $500 will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to Windsor businesses for marketing and advertisement, according to a news release.

The program runs from Monday through July 31. Applications are available on the town’s website at windsorgov.com/mini-marketinggrant.

To qualify, licensed businesses must be in good standing with the town of Windsor, be physically located in Windsor and have been negatively impacted by COVID-19. Business owners who have multiple licensed Windsor businesses may qualify for as many grants as they have licenses, according to the news release.

Business owners can apply for the grant online and will receive a confirmation email when their application is approved.

The grant can be used to obtain the services of a professional marketing consultant; to receive a one-time reimbursement for advertisements, print fulfillment or other marketing resources; or as a reimbursement for a combination of consulting and advertising.

The town of Windsor can provide recommendations for consultants based on the business’s grant application, or the business owner may choose to work with another consultant, according to the news release.
