Reader's choice: Wisconsin's best cheese curds are in Madison, Stevens Point

If you're looking for the best cheese curds in Wisconsin, head to Madison. So says the results of a reader's choice poll run by USA TODAY 10Best.

The top two vote getters deep fry their curds in our state capitol. The Old Fashioned took top honors with Curd Girl coming in second. Main Street Taps in Stevens Point rounded out the top three.

Two Green Bay-area restaurants made the top 10.

The top three curds, and all but one of the top 10, were battered rather than breaded. Clearly, Wisconsinites have a type when it comes to deep fried curds.
