A WINCHESTER man has appeared in court accused of stabbing a pensioner at his home.
Police and paramedics rushed to Long Close, off Lower Stanmore Lane, in Stanmore shortly after 2.30am on Thursday, November 29.
The 74-year-old victim was taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Now, officers have charged 24-year-old Andrew Richardson, of Portal Road, with wounding with intent. He appeared before magistrates in Basingstoke on Friday, who adjourned his case to Winchester Crown Court where he will appear on January 9.
Officers also confirmed a 22-year-old man from Durham was arrested. He has been released from custody but remains under investigation.
