A WINCHESTER shop which has been trading for 12 years may be forced to close.
Cupboard of Health in Little Minster Street is struggling to find a new, affordable premises.
If they are unable to relocate, staff at the independent health store say it could be the end.
A spokesperson told the Chronicle: "We have a loyal and large following in Winchester, and unfortunately we have to leave our present location later this year.
"Due to lockdown it is virtually impossible to find affordable and suitable premises, particularly with high rents in the city centre.
"If we were forced to close it would upset and inconvenience many local people who rely on us to supply products which are vital to their continuing health. The current pandemic has highlighted just how important this is and how much we are valued by the community."
Staff are asking for landlords with retail space to get in contact if they are able to help.
The store can be contacted on 01962 866108.
