HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Thunderstorms and the threat of heavy rain are possible through Thursday, forecasters say.

Heavy rain hit a portion of the state — primarily Oahu and Maui County — in the morning, prompting flood advisories for some areas. Those advisories have since expired.

Lightning also put on a show for some Hawaii residents in the early-morning hours.
